Aw, darn. I asked for Mokuba because he's probably the character I'm most familiar with.
S'okay! Gimme a little, I'll think on it.

May I please have Bakura and Dark Bakura? And may we use any deck we want, or do they have to be based on the specific character we choose?

Oh dear. I'm sorry about this but somehow I've managed to mess up on the list again. Bakura is taken by Lucky Ladybug and I never updated the list to say that he was taken. I'm terribly, terribly sorry. Are there any other characters that you would consider playing?
In light of the fact that there have been mutiple requests for characters (through my error) there is now a board where you can play any character you wish. Taken or not.

I am sorry but Mokuba and Kaiba are both taken. I cannot ask members to give up their characters. But I can give you both Duke and Pegasus. I shall crown you as these two characters now. And thank you for taking Pegasus! We've been needing him to get the plot rolling.

Just something I was randomly wondering about: Are characters who are *technically* canon in that they've appeared at least once (like Bakura's father in episode 13 or Duke's "store manager" in episode 46), considered canon characters on the board even though they may have limited to no dialogue and it would be up to the RPer to determine the great majority of their personality?

You'd have to ask Tink. Personally I think you should need to do a form for them based off canon evidence (long or short depending on how much screentime they had) and then they can count as canon, but Tink's got the final word so don't quote me on that.

They would be considered canon characters. It sounds like filling out a form for them would be the best bet. I'll go ahead and set up a small form for minor canon characters that can be posted here. From there they will be added to the list. The form should be up sometime tonight.

I've made up the minor character form. It's fairly small and shouldn't be too hard to fill out. This will be added to the front page of the character list.

Awesome! ♥ Looks fun. X3 Though now I must ask ... are the characters supposed to be Japanese, in spite of dub names/voices/accents being used? I always think of Bakura's family being at least part British, haha. At least on his father's side. And as for Duke's store manager goes, I've pegged him as Asian-American, which could still be worked in with them in Japan, but I wanted to make sure I was aware of what the standards were, if any.

I've been thinking about this one and I think that this should be the sort of things that the general populous decides not the admins. Since it really depends on who knows what better. So I'd say until we get enough actives to take it to a vote, just roleplay as whatever is more comfortable to you.

Okay, here we go....
The basics:
Name: James Bakura Gender: Male Age: Late 30s Residence: Domino City, when he's not traveling *Relationship to canon characters: Father to Ryou Bakura; descendant of Thief King Bakura/Yami Bakura
Physical Characteristics:
Race: British-Japanese (75% British, 25% Japanese) Distinguishing features: None that I can think of Disabilities: I'm not sure if this belongs here, but he wears glasses, though it's never said why. (Probaby from too much squinting at hieroglyphics and reading ancient walls by torchlight.) *General description: Tall and of average weight, with blue hair in a ponytail and brown eyes Clothing worn in show or manga: Khaki
Mental State:
*General personality as seen in the show or manga: Barely anything is known about him other than that he gave Bakura the Millennium Ring, feeling his son was "destined to have it." And hence, he is actually quite an important character, setting in motion many of the critical events of the series.
He is unaware of Yami Bakura's presence, and largely unaware of Bakura's loneliness, though one may wonder if he got the Millennium Ring as a gift for Bakura, possibly to apologize for his many absences. He has always been busy, but following the deaths of his wife and daughter, he took to traveling to cope with the pain. He genuinely loves his son, but cannot see Bakura's pain beyond his own. It takes a man he doesn't even like to show him that. Educational backround if known: He's the museum director in Domino City, and it's suggested that he travels a lot, possibly obtaining artifacts for the museum. I picture him to have a Doctoral degree. Mental illnesses if known: None.
All additional notes: Yami Bakura is disgusted with him. Having lost absolutely everyone in Kul Elna, and longing so badly to have them back, he feels James should really remember that he did not lose all of his family and that he should be there for Bakura. It's a source of tension between them when they do meet.
James is not that impressed with the bad-mannered tomb-robber, either, and horrified when he realizes that Bakura has been clinging to him for companionship due to his loneliness. When he sees the two honestly care about each other, he offers to make a truce with Yami Bakura for Bakura's sake. This works for a while, until he ends up learning more fully about Bakura's past with the "megalomanical thief", as he comes to call Yami Bakura. It takes some time before he's able to fully accept that Yami Bakura, free of Zorc's spirit and trying to determine his own identity, has changed and is not a danger to the boy they both love.
**************************
The basics:
Name: David Tanaka Gender: Male Age: 19 Residence: Domino City *Relationship to canon characters: Duke Devlin's store manager. (Anyone know what he is to Duke in the original Japanese? I can't figure it out.)
Physical Characteristics:
Race: Japanese-American Distinguishing features: None Disabilities: Wears glasses *General description: Tall and slender, with brownish hair and eyes Clothing worn in show or manga: A pink dress shirt and yellow slacks, with what looks like a seagreen-colored sweater tied over his shoulders
Mental State:
*General personality as seen in the show or manga: Either he is just very obnoxious or he knows Duke quite well (or both), as he teases Duke and even calls him "Dukey-boy" right after getting the position as store manager. And since he seems like a smart guy, it's likely the latter. Teasing a stranger, or even an acquaintance, who has just hired you would not be a good idea. Also, it's unlikely Duke would have confided his plan in someone he did not trust well.
He seems to possibly see more than he lets on, but wisely stays in the background and lets Duke experience things for himself ... though not without warning him first of the possible consequences of his actions. Whether or not Duke wants to be warned.
He likes the thought of having a lot of money and wealth, and has been described by Duke as greedy, but despite a penchant for get-rich-quick schemes, he doesn't let that part of his personality dominate his common sense. Educational backround if known: Currently an undergraduate college student Mental illnesses if known: None
All additional notes: He comes from a family that includes three sisters. None of his siblings still live in Domino City, but his parents do.
